And with the Personal mode you can even use the MINI App to select your own images from your smartphone gallery for the background of the MINI Interaction Unit. Its modern design, intuitive operation and extensive range of functions make it smooth to use enabling you to enjoy carefree mobility – anytime and anywhere.
Digital Key Plus. You can now open your MINI just by getting closer to it. The optional Digital Key Plus uses ultra-wideband (UWB) technology with a high safety standard and works in just the same way as a traditional key fob. So if you are nearby, and your compatible phone is in your pocket or a bag, it will unlock your MINI automatically – and then lock it again when you leave.

You can receive free over-the-air software updates and improvements for your MINI. And depending on the country, vehicle model, equipment and vehicle condition, you might even be eligible to receive additional new functions or functional improvements free of charge on regular basis.
SMARTPHONE INTEGRATON. With smartphone integration, you can easily access your favorite apps in your MINI wirelessly via Android Auto or Apple CarPlay. Navigation instructions from supported navigation apps are displayed on the MINI Interaction Unit and in the head-up display of your MINI, so that you can safely access all apps on your smartphone even while driving.
